Meet Joe Scudiero
Award winning DGA Director Joe Scudiero a highly-motivated and self-taught filmmaker, his ethnic beginnings give him an appreciative eye that is seen in the character of his ‘real people’ shooting style and is reminiscent of an Italian Woody Allen, with the improvisational influences of Mike Leigh (“Secrets and Lies”). States Scudiero, “I like to improvise with actors to really create the character’s full potential,” as he did with the debut full-length independent feature film “I Do.”
One of Joe’s early acclaimed commercials, “Joey Bag O’ Donuts”, winner of CLIO and London Internal Award, captured his soulful directing talent and was one of the most successful domestic and internationally syndicated commercial spots in history. “Joey Bag O’ Donuts” .
Scudiero’s brilliant debut was no mere flash-in-the-pan. His work suggests a tight affinity between subject and creator.
